When you download or use an app created by report it®', we may receive information about your location and your mobile device, including a unique identifier for your device. We may use this information to provide you with responses to reports you have created, advertising and other personalized content. Most mobile devices allow you to turn off location services.
We may receive and store any information you enter into our app or on our Web site. You can choose not to provide contact information. We may use the information that you provide for responding to your reports and communicating with you. If you agree to provide contact information during the creation of a report we will forward this information to the entity you are reporting to. Contact information may include name, e-mail and phone number. We may receive and store location information for photos and videos that you have attached to your report.
Information about our users is an important part of our business, and we are not in the business of selling it to others. We do not create individual profiles with the information you provide and report it® does not collect information for commercial marketing. We share user information only as described below.
We may share any information you have provided us with the organization or entity that you are reporting to. This information is provided so that the report you have created can be responded to in an appropriate manor. This information may include your name, e-mail and phone number. We may also share any location information provide with respect to a photo or video you have attached to your report.
We work to protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information you input. As discussed above, you can always choose not to provide contact information.
report it® is a participant in the Safe Harbor program developed by the U.S. Department of Commerce and (1) the European Union and (2) Switzerland, respectively. We have certified that we adhere to the Safe Harbor Privacy PrinciplesÂ agreed upon by the U.S. and (1) the E.U. and (2) Switzerland, respectively.
In compliance with the US-EU and US-Swiss Safe Harbor Principles, we endeavor to resolve all complaints about privacy and the collection or use of customer information.
